The Columbus Convention and Visitors Bureau is dedicated to building a positive image of Columbus through tourism, convention development, and major events, and through marketing the community on a national basis.
The main objective of the CCVB is to promote and market Columbus and Lowndes County as a tourist destination and convention site. We also represent and support the interests of the visitor industry as a whole.

Through successful development and the execution of  a centralized sales and marketing strategy, the CCVB generates economic benefits for Columbus and Lowndes County. We also provide information and assist with all services and facilities relating to the tourism and convention industries to meeting planners, tour operators, travel agents, individual visitors, and the news media.
